I screened most of the Best Picture nominations, as well as many of the nominations. I enjoyed seeing various nominations and felt some were sadly omitted from contention. Yes, getting a nomination is all about marketing, advertising, promotion, and more; this is similar to many awards ceremonies. One of my favorite categories are for the short films; I’m happy to see people celebrating these works of art.
SNUBS
I was upset some films were snubbed from nominations.
The Last Duel (Best Picture/Director/Actor/Actress/Cinematography)
Red Rocket (Actor/Director/Production Design/Cinematography)
House of Gucci (Actress/Production Design)
Mass (Best Picture/Director/Actor/Actress/Supporting Actor/Supporting Actress/Original Screenplay)
