10. The Hustle (USA) Chris Addison. An insult to the two leads’ acting strengths and abilities, this “film” is a pale attempt at a remake of the enormously clever, “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.”
9. Undercover Brother 2 (USA) Leslie Small. No one asked for this pointless sequel. It an insult to the fun and silly original featuring Eddie Griffin.
8. Terminator: Dark Fate (USA) Tim Miller. Why can’t filmmakers understand Terminator and Terminator: Judgement Day were not just about violence; they examined deep and meaningful science fiction themes and ideas.
7. Lion King (USA) Jon Favreau. Boring and silly. The only reason to make this “film” was to print money for the Disney executives, which they fully achieved.
6. Aladdin (USA) Guy Ritchie. Smurf Will Smith – enough said.
5. IO (USA) Jonathan Helpert. Not sure how this is a science fiction film. It is a soap opera about a weak theme of “humans need each other.”
4. Cats (USA) Tom Hooper. I tried to watch it, but I nodded off twice.
3. Hellboy (USA) Neil Marshall. An insult to the illustrious, Guillermo del Toro and Ron Perlman.
2. Dark Phoenix (USA) Simon Kinberg – A huge misfire from Marvel Studios in their attempt to bring the X-Men franchise to a close, before they are integrated into the MCU. Hopefully, the MCU can give better stories, writing, plot lines, and much more than this mess.
1. Frozen II (USA) Jennifer Lee. Idiotic, uncompelling, and hokey. It equals the terrible is "Frozen" (2013).
